eco-park® specified for another Leeds city centre development
HC PVE has secured its fifth Leeds city centre project in two months.
Wellington Place offers a dynamic living and working environment in the centre of this thriving northern city. The development will overlook the city’s newest open space and will be linked to a landmark office building.
sustainable car park ventilation was chosen as the preferred system for the underground car park that will serve the development. Using an engineered approach to the concept design, the HC PVE team submitted a proposal that would benefit the builder, the developer and the environment – fewer fans and less cabling would be needed at the construction stage, lower initial costs and lower on-going running costs would be an advantage to the developer and reduced energy consumption would result in less environmental impact.
Ernst Wehden, HC PVE Director, says: “We have seen growth in business from this leading regional city over the last 18 months. The economy is growing at a fast rate for the first time in years and it’s great to see new buildings and developments taking shape both in Leeds and nationwide.”
