Battersea Power station is possibly London’s most iconic landmark. Built almost 100 years ago it remains Europe’s largest brick built structure, containing 62 million bricks.
Now being developed in a number of stages that will eventually create a virtual riverside city within a city, the HC PVE brand eco-park® has been chosen to provide car park ventilation in the first of 9 phases.
Continuing the regeneration of London’s east end the Hallsville Quarter in Canning Town currently features over 500 residential units around a central courtyard.
All part a huge mixed use development. Eco Park was successfully used on both Phases 1 and 2 to provide a full mechanical system covering over 300 spaces. The reversible system featuring 2 extract points and 20 Induction fans over two floors ensures that should a fire occur one half of the car park will remain predominantly free of smoke.
The Embankment is part of the wider Greengates regeneration scheme which borders on Manchester and Salford bringing £400 million in private investment and creating over 5000 new jobs for the North West.
The development will see the conversion of the Old Train Station and the construction of two unique style but Iconic office blocks. The car park consists of over 400 car park spaces and features a fully mechanical ventilation system incorporating only 18 induction fans.
In recent years HC PVE have become experts in the design of car park ventilation systems for major stores and mixed-use developments. We work with all of the major blue chip stores and have been involved with some of the most prestigious developments across the UK. eco-park®’s benefits – which include fewer fans for a given space, less excavation and less power consumption – have proven winners with architects, consultants and developers alike.
One of the many large retail outlets opened recently was the Tesco flagship store in Stourbridge, West Midlands, which was completed ahead of schedule. The specification was extremely challenging, with noise generation a key factor – the store is close to a number of residential sites – but was fully met by our eco-park® sustainable car park ventilation system. eco-park®’s power consumption was also a major influence – up to 60% fewer fans are needed than with older impulse systems, thanks to HC PVE’s pioneering twin-discharge technology.
HC PVE has secured its fifth Leeds city centre project in two months.
Wellington Place offers a dynamic living and working environment in the centre of this thriving northern city. The development will overlook the city’s newest open space and will be linked to a landmark office building.
